Henrico Lodge Charitable Foundation

Although the FOP Lodge was established in 1953, the Henrico Lodge Charitable Foundation was established in 2000.  The membership of the Lodge felt it necessary to create a charitable organization that citizens could donate to. The organization was created as a 501C3, charitable organization.

Since its inception in 2000, the Henrico Lodge Charitable Foundation has dispersed thousands of dollars to officers and their families who are sick or in distress, awarded scholarships, and sent officers to training.  Through the years, the HLCF has donated to C.O.P.S (Concerns of Police Survivors), LEU (Law Enforcement United), and Disaster Relief Funds. This was made possible all from the generous donations of the business members of Henrico County and surrounding areas.

The HLCF isn’t all about the officers and their families.  The HLCF has contributed to the Easter Seals, the Henrico Education Association, and The Boy Scouts of America.  The HLCF donates to the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls by way of Christmas House. One of the members of the HLCF is Mr. Christmas himself, who decorates his home (Christmas House) and collects donations.  100% of all donations go to the VA Home for Boys and Girls.

One of the greatest and most rewarding programs the HLCF participates in is the FOP Cops and Kids Program.  Children and families in need are selected to be paired up with officers to go shopping for Christmas. The HLCF spends approximately $20,000 annually on this program.

The current officers of the HLCF are:

  • President– Reese Haller
  • Secretary– Becky Simulcik
  • Treasurer– Mike Briggs
  • Directors– Larry Belviso, Kenny Cordle, Jim Livingstone
